Beretta PX4 Storm Ultimate Guide - Review, Build List, and much more!
What I love about Beretta is its ability to embody pure Italian craftsmanship. What do I mean by that? Think of Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Panerai—brands synonymous with passion, performance, and, most importantly, impeccable design. The PX4 captures this essence perfectly: a firearm built for passionate shooters who demand high performance, all wrapped in a lightweight package with a design that stands apart from anything else on the market. Simply put—Italian excellence.
It’s unfortunate that the PX4 never gained widespread popularity, either among the public or law enforcement. Yet, for reasons unknown, Beretta has never discontinued it. Even more puzzling, they’ve hardly made any changes to it in over 20 years since its release. However, Earnest Langdon of Langdon Tactical fell in love with this platform and persuaded Beretta to produce the “Cheater PX4,” also known as the G-SD model. This variant is essentially a .40 caliber PX4 chambered in 9mm, effectively creating a bull-barrel PX4.
As some of you may know, I didn’t just shoot the G-SD model in competition—I fully committed to developing the PX4 for competitive shooting in both USPSA and IDPA. It took extensive effort to refine this firearm into a true competitor, and I’m excited to share that journey with all of you!
